The Spring Luncheon program will include a presentation on a brand new HRC partnership and an update on what’s happening in Austin
Dallas will be the first city to hear about HRC’s new partnership with Columbia University to develop and document the oral history of HRC and the LGBTQ movement. Leading the program for Columbia and speaking to us is Mary Marshall Clark. She is the Director of Columbia University Center for Oral History Research and the Founding Co-Director of the university’s Oral History Masters’ Program.
What’s happening in Austin? Rebecca Marquis, HRC’s Texas State Director, will talk with us about what’s happening that could affect our community. Rebecca leads HRC’s Texas efforts to work closely with ally organizations to defeat any anti-LGBTQ legislation and promote LGBTQ equality. She is currently living in Austin but will soon be making Dallas her home base. Let’s give her a big “D” welcome.
