Chief Resiliency Officer for The City Manager’s Office will be on-site to provide more information about The City Of Dallas resilience programs.

Dallas is honored to have been selected as one of only 100 cities around the world to participate in the prestigious 100 Resilient Cities (100RC) program, pioneered by the Rockefeller Foundation.  This innovative program is dedicated to helping cities become resilient to the environmental, social and economic challenges that are a growing part of the 21st century.

This is an opportunity for you to have hands on access to learning more about the CRO role as it directly relates and impacts you as a business owner, entrepreneur, educator or community leader.

A Chief Resilience Officer (CRO) is a top-level advisor that reports directly to the city mayor. Their task is to establish a compelling resilience vision for her city, working across departments and with the local community to maximize innovation and minimize the impact of unforeseen events.

Urban Resilience is the capacity of individuals, communities, institutions, businesses, and systems within a city to survive, adapt, and grow no matter what kinds of chronic stress or acute shocks they experience.

Our focus at DO or DIE will be:

Chronic Stresses :
Income Disparity
Growing Poverty
Drought
Aging Infrastructure
Access to Quality Education

Consider this a Town Hall opportunity where we can hear from our CRO of Dallas as she is able to hear from us.
